The function of the Office of Veterans Affairs at Texas State University is to assist veterans in pursuing their educational, professional, or vocational objectives.  We are available to answer questions concerning veteran educational benefits, certify enrollments for the Department of Veterans Affairs and monitor student’s degree plans and academic progress.

Although our office works to ensure that Department of Veterans Affairs’ regulations are satisfied, we are a division of the Texas State University’s Registrar’s Office.  We have no authority to make judgments regarding benefit status.  Only the Department of Veteran Affairs may determine the eligibility of individuals for veteran educational benefits and to approve payment of benefits.
