Veteran Alliance at Texas State

The Veteran's Alliance was established in the fall of 2008 by William C. Patterson and Christopher P. Schave. The purpose of the organization is to assist fellow veterans in being successful during their time at Texas State University by
·         Educating veterans about programs that would benefit them while in school
·         Guiding new student veterans through their academic career at Texas State
·         To provide a social outlet that brings veterans together in a positive environment
In December, 2009, the Alliance joined the Student Veterans of America, a national student veterans group. The Veteran's Alliance works with their staff and faculty counterparts via the Veterans Advisory Council in an effort to further meet the needs of veteran's on campus.
Mission Statement

To ensure that veterans currently enrolled and veterans entering the university are aware of all organizations, services, and opportunities afforded to them. To establish a sense of pride in service, provide networking, and create a platform for which their voice may be heard.
